The Business

"Great customer service is important to us, and iiNet has really delivered on this. Partnering with suppliers that share our sense of fun and relaxed culture is also key. We enjoy iiNet’s quirky sense of humour and relaxed attitude, we share a similar approach to work and life and we both don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re certainly happy with them as a partner."

Motus Architecture was established in 2011 when Simon Jodrell and Adriano Piviali bought into Peter Jodrell’s Architect practice.

Peter Jodrell continues to be an active director of the practice; however the ever growing team around him includes a number of talented design and construction professionals that are committed to producing exceptional results for their valued clients.

18 successful months after becoming Motus Architecture, the practice has expanded to include Motus Property, a property development wing.

"We’ve been very happy with iiNet’s service to-date, and have certainly saved a lot of money since switching over."

The Challenge

Motus Architecture

One of the first things the new partners did as a new practice was to modernise their systems and invest in the latest design software called Autodesk® Revit®. Revit is specifically built for Building Information Modelling (BIM), helping building professionals design, build, and maintain higher-quality, more energy-efficient buildings.

Revit has enabled the practice to deliver cutting-edge designs, unlike many of their counterparts who are still using archaic 2D software.

Next on the review block was their telecommunications system, as they had outgrown their supplier at the time. Motus Architecture wanted a partner that had the right solutions combined with great value bundles.

“We weren’t happy with our provider at the time, and for a busy architectural operation such as ours, their customer support was lacking. We had a number of issues in terms of their consistency and delivery of service, and finally decided to part ways,” said Adriano Piviali, Director at Motus Architecture.

Motus Architecture reviewed a number of suppliers and opted to engage iiNet to help them with their telecommunication requirements for the next phase of growth.

“Personally I have been with iiNet for three years, my family for over 10, so I am very familiar with their services. I was also impressed with their customer service so it was an easy decision to go with them. iiNet has the best small business packages – combine that with great customer service – it was a no brainer for us to make the switch,” added Adriano.

Partnering with iiNet for business success

Six month’s ago iiNet reviewed Motus Architecture’s telecommunications requirements, and at this stage of the practice’s business growth, iiNet recommended Naked DSL providing fast broadband without the need for a landline phone, and Business Phone for great value local and national calls.

“In six month’s time we’ll be moving to new premises and will look to upgrade all our systems. We’ve been very happy with iiNet’s service to-date, and have certainly saved a lot of money since switching over. We’ll definitely engage them to help us review our needs and supporting us with our next stage of business growth.

“We’ll also be looking at iiNet for our mobile phone plans. My wife and I are already with them. Once the other Director’s plans expire, we’ll review iiNet’s mobile offer and switch across,” added Adriano.
