Customers accessing external sites were experiencing a degraded service. Affected customers noticed higher than normal delays or timeouts when accessing external Internet sites and services, such as browsing sites in a web browser.

Technical Summary:

There was an International fibre break between San Jose and Hillsboro Oregon due to Severe weather conditions and flooding in the area. This has caused one of our International links to not be running at an optimal capacity, disrupting some services.

Resolution:

Out upstream provider has informed us that the work crew has arrived on site and has restored Internet services onto an alternate path. Traffic re-routing has been reversed and International links are now running at optimal capacity. Technicians will continue to closely monitor this link.
