- iiNet continues to fight for customer’s rights and our stance against Dallas Buyers Club LLC ends in a positive result that will see significant safeguards put in place to protect Australian customers, with discovery being granted under strict conditions.
- We celebrate our first 10,000 NBN customers! This is just the beginning of connecting Australians to the National Broadband Network across fibre, satellite, and fixed wireless services.
- iiNet announces another Australian first – a monthly broadband data quota of one terabyte (one million megabytes) per month. Following unsatisfactory negotiations with the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, we also withdraw from the government's proposed internet filtering trial.
- iiNet is the first ISP to offer superfast ADSL2+ broadband speeds on a national scale in Australia. Customers connected to an iiNet DSLAM are able to upgrade to the ADSL2+ speed free of charge.
