Glory Hounds is a two hour, first of its kind special. Animal Planet's filmmakers were granted unprecedented access to embed three camera crews among MWD (Military Working Dogs) teams in some of the most volatile regions in Afghanistan, where tens of thousands of military service men and women risk their lives every day.

Serving beside them are approximately 600 military working dogs whose sole purpose is to protect soldiers and innocent civilians. These specialised dogs are highly trained to do what no man or technology can. In Glory Hounds, some dogs and handlers come home, some return forever changed and some don't come home at all.

With nothing but time on their hands, every prisoner fantasises about escape. While few actually attempt to breakout, some prisoner's ingenuity and sheer audaciousness sees them successfully use obscure objects to bust out of some of the most secure prisons in the world.
