iiNet backs Sydney Sixers in BBL and WBBL for 2021/22 season

13 September 2021

iiNet is excited to announce it will again be the Principal Partner of the Sydney Sixers Big Bash League (BBL) team for the 2021/22 season, while also signing on to be an Official Partner of the Sydney Sixers for the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).

The announcement will see iiNet’s partnership with the Sydney Sixers for the BBL enter a ninth successful year, and an exciting return of its partnership with the WBBL team.

The partnerships will see iiNet continue its commitment to support the Sydney Sixers throughout the season via a range of member and fan engagement activities with the goal of keeping players and their fans connected.

iiNet General Manager Marketing, Rob Holmes, said iiNet is delighted to be teaming up with the Sydney Sixers to continue the successful partnership the brands have shared for almost a decade.

“To be extending our principal partnership with the Sydney Sixers in the BBL into a ninth year is an exciting milestone for the iiNet brand,” Mr Holmes said.

“We share the Sixers competitive spirit and passionate commitment to continuous improvement and excellence as we keep Australians connected through our internet and mobile services.”

Mr Holmes said iiNet was particularly excited to again be partnering with the Sydney Sixers WBBL team given the growth and popularity of the WBBL in Australia following last year’s T20 World Cup victory.

“At iiNet we are pleased to be aligned with a sport inspiring a new generation of young women to play and watch cricket,” he said.

Ben Hirschfeld, Cricket NSW General Manager – Commercial Experience, echoed iiNet’s excitement.

“We’re delighted that iiNet will continue their partnership into the ninth season across both our BBL and WBBL teams,” Mr Hirschfeld said.

“They’re a fantastic brand to work with and we’re excited with the plans we’re already beginning to develop, to connect fans during the season ahead.”

The season kicks off with the WBBL in October with the Sydney Sixer’s playing their first match against the Melbourne Stars on Thursday, 14th October 2021.
