iiNet introduces first-ever mobile phones to SMBs

27 October 2011 - iiNet has today announced its first-ever range of mobile handsets and plans for Australian small and medium businesses. Three innovative Android mobile phones - Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S and Alcatel OT99 will be offered on competitive plans designed to give businesses greater flexibility and value for money.

Business customers can choose to mix-and-match the mobile phones with iiNet’s existing no-contract SIM plans, which cover calls, texts, 3G data, social network access and special iiNet to iiNet value calls.

The mobile phone plans start from just $8 per month and can be paired with iiNet’s recently launched Business Voice product, allowing business users to turn their mobile phone into an extension of the office landline.

iiNet Business CEO, Greg Bader, said this latest business offering will meet the growing demand from organisations looking for a better alternative.

“The fact you can mix-and-match a contract-free SIM card with a mobile phone means you can create a plan that meets your business needs, no matter your budget.”

iiNet is supporting three Android phones for businesses initially, with plans to extend the range of mobile devices in the future.

“We chose to offer Android phones first because they’re well known as a flexible platform for future innovation. However, we understand that there’s a demand to support a broader range of devices and we will consider extending our offerings soon.”

The mobile phones are available on a 24-month contract or can be purchased outright when matched with a SIM card plan.
