The Astrologer Today
There are numerous styles of Astrology and techniques being practiced around the world today. The tentative client usually believes that Astrology will offer insights about the future much like a tarot card reading, however, there is much more to this complex art or science to that which lays beneath any deck of cards.
Astrology is an age-old practice beginning some 2,500 years ago and has developed along side many philosophical, religious and political changes throughout history. I would like to offer some information about the modern developments of Astrology in contrast to the traditional practice's still operating today. There is much more to be said about Astrology than I can ever hope to suggest here so my aim is to supply some information that will help anyone interested in investigating Astrology and to describe the services I offer.
Modern Astrology and the 'turning of the wheel' in the early 1930's incorporated a psychological approach rather than a predictive style of interpretation. Although physchological Astrology is only a relatively new approach, there has been wider acceptance of Astrology as a tool for personal growth as a result.
With the inspiration of Carl Jung; Dane Rudhyar and others developed Astrology into a psychological tool of analysis. The ancient predictive methods, (which outline the destinies of a horoscope) were transposed into archetypal references for the understanding of personality. This method ventures, that in Astrology and 'life,' everyone has free-will or a choice to create and achieve in their own life.
The new model of Astrology offers a 'self-development tool' for awareness and growth, which achieved popularity through the 1960's. The techniques of Astrology have aligned with moral and social perspective's of the modern community. The older 'Predictive' methods have developed into translations that can describe the ebb and flow in life's changing circumstances. The ways in which an individual can grow and manage the prevailing energies requires the Astrologer to exhibit counselling and problem solving abilities.
The Traditional (ancient and medieval)) Astrologer predicted if there was to be an economic growth relating to the oncoming harvest or whether the King should go to battle in the spring. Astrology was used for questions and answers or for establishing the best times to begin an event. A person's horoscope was read in a fashion that outlined specific situations to be experienced in life. (destiny's or outcomes)
Traditional Astrology is widely practiced around the world today, the techniques are very complex and can be highly accurate. Original Astrological writings are still being translated today, clarifying and restoring methods from our history. Traditional techniques can afford the accuracy in which the Modern Astrologer can utilise in his or her practice.
Certain clients prefer to ask a question (Horary Astrology) rather than working with Astrological counselling techniques.
The Horary 'question' can delve into almost any matter. The reading outlines the recent story of a situation by describing the client's current involvement to the matter. The Astrologer is contracted to deliver a positive or negative answer in the matter sought after. There is more that just a yes or no answer in these readings and the outcome of the session can confirm or reinforce the client's own situation. Horary Astrology is not about intuitive 'calls' by the astrologer however the strictures in their work guide them to the correct answer. The value in a Horary reading enables strategic navigation to situations that seem unclear. "Will I be successful in the matter"? "what is the outcome of the meeting" etc.
Election Astrology is about establishing the best time for the start of any event. Astrological methods are used to locate this 'ideal' time in relation to the client's chart or an organisation wanting to begin a project. Diets, business meetings, weddings, parties and almost any situation requiring an official start time.
Modern Astrology was born from the traditional roots of Astrology and the two techniques are quite different, however, when they are combined the client can gain the most accurate insights to their life and situations. Life can continually offer deeper meanings after certain situations 'happen'. Astrology can predict certain events and outline the inherent meanings for an individual so that he or she can plan ahead for successful outcomes.
Astrology today, can offer choices for a client to investigate their concerns in whichever way suits them. The predictive chart will give an answer and bring up some important issues surrounding the matters asked about. A natal reading can establish the possibilities or choices one has in life and is designed to assist the potential growth of an individual.
Those that wish to investigate Astrology can get a comprehensive and enjoyable visualisation of their life, along with answers to specific trends and future developments.
Please feel free to investigate how I may help you. I would love to hear any questions you may have.
