Netphone

Netphone is the name of the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service which we offer with our broadband plans. It is a method for taking analogue audio signals (in this case, the signals produced when you make a landline call), and turning them into digital data that can be transmitted over an internet connection.
The main advantage of VoIP is that there are significantly reduced costs involved. This means that calls you make generally come at a significant cost benefit; in some cases they are free!
iiTalk is a VoIP service that comes with every Naked DSL service. This works in the same way as our Netphone2 product with the exception that it has no $9.95/month fee.
Fewer than you may think!
VoIP works very similar to a conventional telephone service. You still receive a dial tone, you still dial phone numbers in the exact same way and other people still call you the same way. The main difference for you is that instead of your telephone being connected to a wall socket, it will be plugged directly into your modem.
To be eligible for Netphone you need one of our current broadband plans. You also require a VoIP-enabled modem.
