Naked DSL terms, fees & guarantees

All iiNet services are bound by our Customer Relationship Agreement. This page offers a quick summary of the terms, fees and guarantees that come with your Naked DSL service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us on 13 19 17.

Terms summary

• Our standard setup fee of $150 applies to all plans taken without a contract. Naked Home Value is only available on a 24-month contract.
• When you sign up for a 24-month contract, setup charges are discounted to $79.95.
• Naked DSL gives you ADSL2+ speeds, which means you'll get broadband access as fast as your connection can handle with respect to environmental factors like physical line quality, weather conditions, your broadband hardware and the distance from your home to your telephone exchange.
• Both uploads and downloads count towards your monthly quota.
• If you exceed your quota, your download speed is shaped for the remainder of your billing month.
• You may switch between Naked DSL plans at any time without incurring contract break fees. A plan change fee applies when switching to a plan of equal or lesser value.
• iiTalk is a VoIP service included with every Naked DSL plan. To use it, you will require a phone handset and VoIP-compatible modem. iiTalk covers all your local and national calls for no extra cost, and subject to fair use.
• Timed calls on iiTalk are charged per second. Calls to mobile numbers are charged per 30 second block.

Optional Extras
Additional mailboxes If you need more email addresses than what you get with your plan, you can purchase an additional mailbox. They are charged per year and are covered by our AntiSpam and AntiVirus protection.	$25

Plan change fee A plan change fee applies when you switch to a broadband plan of equal or lesser value. (We'll cover this fee if you switch to a higher plan.)	$29

Peak time, off-peak time and shaping

Rather than charging extra if you exceed your quota, we simply shape your connection speed to 256/256kbps for the remainder of your billing month.

Contract terms

Contract options are available on a 24-month term. When you take a Naked DSL plan on a 24-month contract, we'll discount your setup fee to $79.95 and give you savings of up to $100 on a new modem.

If you end your contract early, the following break fees apply. These fees cover the costs reasonably incurred by iiNet when the contract commenced.

BoB™ and BoB2™ contract break fees

If you end a hardware rental contract early, you'll be required to pay either a flat cancellation fee or the costs reasonably incurred by iiNet from your leaving the contract.

Fair contract guarantee

When you sign up to an optional contract, you commit to retain your Naked-DSL service for the set period.

However, our fair contract guarantee lets you change between plans at any time without the need to break your agreed contract. A plan change fee will apply if you switch to a plan of equal or lesser value.

Fair use of iiTalk

A fair use policy applies to the free local and national calls on iiTalk. This allows us to give everyone a fair go by restricting access to those who may use this service excessively, unreasonably or unlawfully.

Excessive use is a continuing and unreasonably disproportionate use of the service when compared to other users. In the case of iiNet iiTalk, this applies to free calls in excess of three times the number of calls per iiNet iiTalk service per month, averaged across customers on the same plan.
