ADSL Broadband terms, fees & guarantees

Terms All iiNet services are bound by our Customer Relationship Agreement. This page offers a quick summary of the terms, fees and guarantees that come with your ADSL Broadband service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us on 13 19 17.

Terms summary

  • Our standard setup fee of $79.95 applies to all plans unless otherwise specified.
  • Bundle your broadband service with a landline phone for 24 months and save on your setup fee:
    • iiNetwork customers will have their setup fee waived - saving $79.95.
    • Off-net customers will be charged a $39.95 setup fee - saving $40.
  • If you rent one of our shiny BoB2™ or Budii™ modems for 24 months, we'll waive your setup fee - that's a saving of $79.95. Applies to both on-net and off-net customers
  • When you sign up for a 24-month contract, you receive a $80 discount on a new BoB2™.
  • You'll need an active phone service for your broadband connection - bundling broadband with iiNet Phone gives you extra quota each month on all plans, excluding ADSL2+ Home-1.
  • Both uploads and downloads count towards your monthly quota.
  • If you exceed your quota, your download speed is shaped for the remainder of your billing month.
  • You may switch between our broadband plans at any time without incurring contract break fees. A plan change fee applies when switching to a plan of equal or lesser value.

Fast Transfer setup
The Fast Transfer service lets you switch to iiNet from your current provider with a discounted connection fee and shorter turnaround time. (participating providers only) 		$39

This is our once-off setup fee to get you connected. 		$79.95
Optional extras
Additional mailboxes
If you need more email addresses than what you get with your plan, you can purchase an additional mailbox. They are charged per year and are covered by our AntiSpam and AntiVirus protection. 		$25/year
Plan & contract fees
Early termination fee
We call it early termination when you cancel your connection within six months. If you are on a fixed term contract, this fee is included in the contract break fees listed below. 		$69
Plan change fee
A plan change fee applies when you switch to a broadband plan of equal or lesser value. (We'll cover this fee if you are switching to a higher plan.) 		$29

Peak time, off-peak time and shaping

Both uploads and downloads count towards your monthly quota.

ADSL2+ plans are shaped to 256/256 kbps once quota has been exceeded.

Peak time, off-peak time and shaped speeds vary between our ADSL1 Home plans.

Plan names above cover both 1500k and Turbo equivalents with the exception of Home-1 Turbo & Home-2 Turbo, which have Anytime quota (no peak/off-peak periods).

Contract terms

Contract options are available on a 24-month term. When you take a broadband plan on a 24-month contract, we'll give you savings of up to $80 on a new modem.

If you end your contract early, the following break fees apply. These fees cover the costs reasonably incurred by iiNet when the contract commenced.

Fair contract guarantee

Services

When you sign up to an optional contract, you commit to retain your ADSL2-Broadband service for the set period.

However, our fair contract guarantee lets you change between plans at any time without the need to break your agreed contract. A plan change fee will apply if you switch to a plan of equal or lesser value.
