Who are the iiNet techii™?

The iiNet techii™ team is made up of gurus who know a thing or two about computers and the Internet and are ready to visit your home to assist with connecting your doovalackies to your thingamajigs.

What can a techii™ help with?

We can assist with the setup of Internet connection in your home, and connect your laptops, PCs, iPods, iPhones, gaming consoles and much more to iiNet broadband. We can also explain iiNet web features such as Toolbox and webmail as well as provide general guidance on Internet usage, networking in your home, online security and more.

What can’t a techii™ help with?

While we'd like to think 'nothing', unfortunately your friendly techii™ can't help with your physical wiring needs. Things like moving a wall socket need to be done by an Austel Certified Technician. This is not an issue though – most devices are now wireless!

What area does techii™ cover?

We currently service metropolitan areas of Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. You can book in an appointment when you signup to iiNet, or through your handy Toolbox for existing customers.

How long is a normal appointment with a techii™?

A typical home appointment lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. You should allow up to two hours. Note that additional time charges beyond the first 60 minutes may apply.

Do I need to be home during the appointment?

We require that someone responsible over the age of 18 is present while we work at your premises.

I have signed up to iiNet broadband and requested a techii™. When can I expect an appointment?

We'd hope to have you online in no time. Our booking agent will be in touch with you when we expect your broadband connection to become active. We will then book in an appointment with you straight away.

I already have a techii™ appointment but I need to change the time.

Please call us on 13 22 58 and quote your booking reference number. We would be happy to accommodate you at a time that is convenient to you.

Can techii™ install a new telephone socket?

No, we cannot undertake any physical wiring work. You would need a certified electrician to perform this work.

Can techii™ help me with my Smart Wiring?

If your house is already Smart Wired, your techii™ can help connect all your peripherals and make use of your Smart Wiring.

You would need a certified electrician to install the cabling necessary for Smart Wiring.

Can techii™ help me with my smart TV?

Yes we can! Your techii™ can assist with connecting all your smart devices to the Internet.

Can techii™ help me with my iiNet TV with Fetch installation?

Yes we can! Your techii™ can assist with setting up your iiNet TV.
