Since 3G came to town in 2003, coverage areas have been growing fast with over alot of Metropolitan areas now covered. By connecting to a 3G network via your mobile, you can instantly message on the bus, read the news in the park, or watch YouTube in the doctor's waiting room.
Or, if surfing the net on your laptop is more your style, you'll need an internet key (which is your mobile broadband modem - it allows you to connect to the net) which you plug into your laptop. You may also hear this referred to as a dongle. This internet key or dongle (what a great word!) gives you instant access to the internet, as long as you are within your 3G providers' coverage area.
