All this website stuff can be tricky to get your head around. That's why we've narrowed it down to four simple steps:
First things first - you will need to register a domain name. This is what people type into their address bar to find your website on the internet, e.g. www.yourcompany.com.au. It's sometimes referred to as the URL, or a website address.
There are a number of different domain types to choose from such as .com; .com.au; .org; or .biz. Which you select, will depend on whether your website is a personal or business site; not for profit; national or international and so on. Pick the domain that best suits your current situation. You may also need to think about alternative domain names if your first choice is unavailable.

Next you'll need to secure the space to host your website - kind of like renting some 'web' real estate. Your domain simply points internet users to the web space where your site actually sits.
When selecting a web hosting plan, you'll need to consider how many people you're expecting to the site, any special functions you'll need (e.g. feedback forms, e-commerce) and the size of your site. We have varying plans to suit your specific requirements.

A lot of people like to have a personalised email address that matches their domain name, e.g. email@example.com. To do this you'll need to organise email hosting.
We offer two different email hosting products, Business Email and Business Pro. Each of these varies in storage, features and number of emails.

Last but not least, you'll need to build your website. There are two different paths you can take here, build the site yourself or get a web developer to create it for you.
The DIY option doesn't have to be difficult and will cost you next to nothing. To help you along, each of our hosting plans comes with two different free website builders! Pick the site builder that best suits your technical knowledge and website requirements. We've also provided some helpful hints for planning out your website design. More information can be found here.
If you'd rather leave site design to the professionals, there are a number of web designers we can recommend.
