iiNet gains further international plaudits

6 May 2014: iiNet, the leading challenger in Australia's telecommunications market, has continued its drive to build international recognition by picking up five awards from international organisations.

iiNet received three Global Business Excellence Awards, for Outstanding Customer Service Initiative, Customer Service Team and Outstanding Blog, iiNet also won a silver medal for Customer Service Leader of the Year in the celebrated 2014 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, with Chief Operating Officer Maryna Fewster also winning a bronze medal for Woman of the Year - Australia.

iiNet Chief Executive Officer David Buckingham said the company is ecstatic about its international wins.

“We’ve made an effort in 2014 to pit ourselves against the best in the world, so to be honoured with these wins goes to show how iiNet’s emphasis on customer service isn’t just paying lip-service: it’s what defines us as a company,” David said.

It’s not just iiNet’s customer service being recognised; iiNet’s gaming portal, games.on.net, has been selected as a finalist in the IT journalism awards known as the “Lizzies”.

“We think games.on.net is a brilliant resource for gamers, so it’s great to see their efforts being recognised on the national stage.

“After our win at the International Service Excellence Awards earlier this year - which we’re still blown away about - we’re fighting hard not only retain this award, but finish 2014 as the most awarded ISP in Australia, and be recognised around the world as a company which puts its customers first,” David said.
