You've got mail - iiNet launches Hosted Exchange email service

Sydney 25 March 2013: iiNet is now offering enterprise class email at SMB prices, through its new Hosted Exchange email service.

"For many small and medium businesses, email is the most important form of communication and our new Hosted Exchange service provides the performance and reliability that businesses need at a price you wouldn't expect," said Greg Bader, Chief Business Officer, iiNet. "We host the infrastructure locally, so users get faster access and won't experience unexpected outages or data sovereignty issues."

iiNet's Hosted Exchange service vastly improves the experience of using email both in the office or on the move. It allows teams to collaborate easily by sharing resources, calendars and contacts, and its rich integration with Outlook means users can work seamlessly with all its major features.

Hosted Exchange offers real time synchronization of emails, calendars and contacts with mobile devices so users can keep on top of work remotely. It also allows users to 'remote wipe' a mobile phone if it becomes lost. Setting up a new account is simple and users don't need to change their existing email address to upgrade. Creating a new email address with your business name (yourname@yourcompany.com.au) is just as easy.

"We're focused on keeping things simple for our customers, while putting them in control," added Mr Bader. "We want users to enjoy consistency across all their communications and this means having easy and affordable access to all services including mobile devices, landlines, internet and a great email service. Hosted Exchange is an important part of achieving this, and the service helps strengthen our overall communications offering."

"SMBs are the lifeblood of our economy and provide employment for millions. At Microsoft, we're passionate about providing choice to our customers and this is yet another way that small business and their employees can stay connected wherever they happen to be and on the terms that they want," said Gianapaolo Carraro, Small and Medium Business Director, Microsoft.

Hosted Exchange builds on iiNet's free email service, offering larger mailbox capacities and improved features and functionality, such as 30MB outgoing message size, aliases and email forwarding, and antivirus and anti-spam features.

"We know that trusting someone else with critical emails might make some people jumpy, but with over 1.2 million services and an award-winning hosting platform, we've got reliability and security covered, and our dedicated customer service team is always ready to take calls," said Mr Bader.

Customers can access Hosted Exchange on a month-to-month basis without having to lock into a long-term contract. Plans start from $2.95 per month for the Hosted Exchange package 1 which provides users with a 3GB mailbox and manages POP, IMAP and OWA systems.
