Award description  

November 2014: iiNet shone again on the international stage, winning a Silver Medal at the Contact Centre World Awards for our exemplary Customer Service. To top the night off, our Work From Home program was recognised as the world’s finest for the second year running, winning the Best Home/Remote Agent award.

Stevies Awards 2014

iiNet continued its drive to build international recognition by picking up two wins at the celebrated 2014 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. iiNet won a silver medal for Customer Service Leader of the Year, and Chief Operating Officer Maryna Fewster won a bronze medal for Woman of the Year - Australia.

iiNet picked up its first international award for customer service excellence, winning the Large Business Award at the International Service Excellence Awards - and we're stoked about it!

ISEA Award 2014

iiNet ended the year on a win thanks to the Lifehacker Awards. We were selected as the Best Home Broadband ISP in both the Readers' Choice and Editor's Pick categories.

In November iiNet picked up the Customer Service Excellence award at the inaugural AIM WA West Business Pinnacle Awards. A $10,000 donation was passed on to the Ronald McDonald House Perth thanks to the win.

Kotaku has awarded iiNet with the title of Reader's Choice Best Broadband Provider.

iiNet was once again awarded both the Reader's Choice and Editor's Pick awards from Gizmodo for Best Home Broadband ISP. This means we have a two-year winning streak!

In November iiNet picked up the gong for the Best Home/Remote Agent category in the Global Contact Centre World Awards. This award gave kudos to iiNet's work from home program which sees over 100 staff members work from the comfort of their own home.

In October iiNet picked up their first ever awards at the National ATA event in Melbourne. The Perth Contact Centre won the 2013 Contact Centre of the Year >150 FTE category and the whole VCC was presented with the the 2013 Virtual/Multi Contact Centre of the Year award.

October was an awesome month for iiNet who picked up 10 awards at the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) awards:

CSIA awards

In September iiNet picked up Gold and Silver medals at the Customer Service Council, Customer Service Excellence Awards. The Gold was won in the Large Enterprise or Division of Business category and the Silver was the first gong ever awarded to our awesome iiStore.

iiNet was awarded 'SaaS Hosting Partner of the year' at the Microsoft Australia Partner Awards in August. iiNet was presented the award for their Hosted Exchange product which sold almost 4000 mailboxes in just 5 months.

ACOMMS awards

The iiNet group picked up a hattrick at the ACOMMS awards in July 2013. The group was awarded the Commitment to Customer Service award recognising the awesome work of the iiNet techii team. Internode, an iiNet company, was awarded the Innovation, Large Company award for being the first broadband company in Australia to offer IPv6 as a standard service for both ADSL and NBN customers. iiNet and the CSIRO also won the Partnerships for Growth gong for their Digital Productivity Services relationship.

ACOMMS awards

iiNet picked up two awards in the state finals of the Australian Teleservices Association Awards in July 2013. The VIC Contact Centre and WA Contact Centre both finished top of the class in their Contact Centre of the Year (FTE 150 plus) category. This is the fifth time in a row that the WA Contact Centre has won this award.

iiNet pick up the gong for the Best Home/Remote Agent category in the Contact Centre World Awards, APAC division. This is the second year in a row iiNet has won the award.

iiNet pick up the CeBIT.AU Business Award for Service Distinction. This award recognises iiNet’s awesome customer service not only on the phone but also in person in the iiStore.

iiNet receive a Merit award for Budii at the 22nd Annual WA Information Technology and Telecommunications Awards (WAiTTA) Research and Development (R&D) category. All submissions to the R&D award were judged on their uniqueness, proof of concept, functionalities/features and quality/application of technology.

The iiNet group bagged two of the top honours at the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards for 2012. iiNet picked up the Home Phone Provider of the Year award while Internode won the Home Internet Service Provider of the Year award for the second year in a row.

The Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on the results of monthly surveys among 50,000 customers nationally about their attitudes to service providers and product purchases.

iiNet has been voted the best Broadband ISP in the 2012 Lifehacker and Gizmode Awards, taking out both the Reader's choice awards and the Editor's Picks. Good-value broadband, excellent customer service and the range of Freezone inclusions made iiNet the one to beat for Lifehacker readers, while Gizmodo appreciated that our increasing size hasn't diminished our great customer service and competitive plan pricing.

In November 2012, iiNet took home bronze in the Contact Centre World Awards for Best Home / Remote Agent Program.

iiNet's 2011 Xmas SIM campaign was awarded a Bronze Medal at this year's ADMA awards. To be successful, campaigns needed to demonstrate creativity and effectiveness to impress the judges and the finalists were selected by a stellar cast from the marketing and advertising industry.

This is the third year in succession that iiNet has won an ADMA award.

iiNet cleans up at the Annual Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) awards in October 2012. The company not only won the WA Large Business award, but was highly commended for its Work from Home program. Three staff members also picked up individual awards.

Internode, an iiNet company, picked up the ANZIA accolade for launching the first commercially supported IPv6 service in Australia in October 2012.

In July 2012 iiNet won the Silver medal for the Large Category in the National Customer Service Excellence Awards, hosted by the Customer Service Council.

iiNet's Melbourne contact centre wins Contact Centre of the Year between 81 FTE and 150 FTE for Victoria at the state chapter Australian Teleservices Association Awards in July 2012.

After placing in the Top50 for the Anthill Cool Company Awards in November 2011, iiNet takes out the category title of Big Kahuna and the overall award for Australia's Coolest Company 2011.

After winning the Western Region Listed category award, Michael Malone goes on to win the 2011 Australia Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in November 2011. The win propels him into the International finals to be held in Monte Carlo in 2012.

iiNet is once again announced National Large Business of the Year in the Customer Service Institute of Australia Awards in November 2011. iiNet Staff take home five individual awards in the state category.

The Deloitte Technology Fast50 list, which ranks Australia's fastest growing technology companies, sees another appearance by iiNet in October 2011.

Michael Malone wins the Western Region Listed category award for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards in August 2011. The win earns him a spot in the National finals.

iiNet's legal battle with Hollywood attracts the attention of the US Embassy in Canberra. During August 2011, analysis and cables to Washington are released to WikiLeaks, emphasising just how important the case is on the global stage.

iiNet and the fetchtv team celebrate a special win at the Australian Telecommunications User Group (ATUG) Gala Awards in March 2011 and add ATUG's 'Innovations in Communications' Award for our fetchtv IPTV product to their trophy cabinet.

Finalists for the 2010 Western Australian Information Technology and Telecommunications Awards are announced in February 2011. iiNet is shortlisted in the Product category for its fetchtv 2 product.

The January 2011 issue of Australian PC & Tech Authority Magazine announces iiNet the winner of Best Wireless Broadband ISP. There were more than 6500 votes in this category and iiNet scored highly for reliability as well as customer support.

Following on from iiNet's ranking in the Deloitte Technology Fast50, the company goes on to be listed in Deloitte's Technology Fast500™ for Asia Pacific in December 2010. The program recognises technology companies that have achieved the fastest rates of annual revenue growth in Asia Pacific over the past three years.

In November 2010, iiNet is announced a Finalist in the 'Big Kahuna' category of the Australian Anthill Cool Company Awards. These awards were launched in February 2006 as a way for Anthill Magazine to recognise Australian organisations that are doing things differently to bring about positive change."

At the National Finals of the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) Awards in November 2010, iiNet’s Marketing Team is awarded Bronze in the Effectiveness category for their BoB™ rental Direct Mail campaign.

iiNet is announced a three time Gold Winner in Money magazine's Dec 2009 - Jan 2010 issue. The company takes out Cheapest Broadband Plan - Light User, Cheapest Broadband Plan - Medium User and Cheapest Broadband Plan - Heavy User in the Best of the Best 2010.

In September 2009 over 17,000 consumers vote in the Australian PC Authority Best Tech Awards - the country's largest tech survey. Results are released in December 2009 and iiNet is Highly Commended in the inaugural Wireless Broadband category.

Australia's peak customer service organisation the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA) recognises iiNet in October 2009, with the Australian Service Excellence Award for WA Large Business (Over 500 FTE) and WA Contact Centre of the Year. iiNet’s Perth Contact Centre Manager Vernon Lawrence also takes home WA Call Centre Manager of the Year, while Michael Malone picks up National Customer Service CEO of the Year.
