Message from our CEO

Welcome to our first sustainability report, a significant milestone as we celebrate our 18th birthday.

Framing this page, you’ll see my parents’ garage where iiNet began in 1993. At that time, Internet access was only available through the universities. When I graduated, I was well and truly hooked, and my biggest concern was losing this access. And that was the real reason that iiNet was started as Western Australia’s first Internet Service Provider.

18 years later, we still believe in the power of the Internet to make the world a better place, to bring people together and tear down walls. We’ve been fighting for faster, more reliable and cost effective access for everyone since those first days. As we celebrate our next birthday, we’d like to share some of the things that we’re most proud of today.

I am very fortunate to work with a lot of passionate, committed and talented people, who genuinely try to make the world a better place. This report is intended to let our own staff, customers, community and stakeholders know what’s important to us, and how we’re addressing issues that are important to them.
